Acne Free in 3 Days – Does it Work?

Can you really be acne free in 3 days? According to the famous book by Chris Gibson, you can. This is a former pimple sufferer who supposedly cured his problem in 72 hours.

So is the book worth it?

It is not the usual pimple curing advice, that is for sure. It is based on curing yourself naturally, not with some artificial cream or lotion. The book says you do not need any over the counter products at all to eliminate zits.

It is based mostly on a three day apple and water fast.

While this does work, it generally will only give you results in 72 hours if you have a very moderate case of pimples. Anything more and you will not see progress. In fact, in some instances it might temporarily make things worse, as your body detoxifies itself.

So while the book does have some good information, for most people it does not live up to the lofty claims. Even if it does give you results in three days, it will not last if you go right back to your old eating habits.

Only by combining this short term fast with a long term diet change will you see permanent results. This is how to keep the acne producing toxins away for good.

Why do toxins produce zits?

Because they clog your system, and therefore the body has to eliminate them somehow. It can do so one of two ways. One is through a bowel movement, the other is through the skin.

As you can guess, the second method is what produces pimples. The body has no choice but to do this if there are too many toxins.

So how do you clear your zits permanently?

There are a few methods, but the simplest is changing your diet.

What foods should you eat?

Focus on consuming more fruits and vegetables, because these are the best detox foods around. Also drink plenty of water. This will keep your body clean of acne producing toxins.

What foods should you avoid?

Eliminate junk food and all processed foods. The more plant based foods you consume, the better. If you do eat meat and dairy, make sure it’s a small portion of your diet.

Avoid eating heavy foods in the morning.

This is because the body detoxifies itself primarily from midnight to 12PM. If you eat hard to digest foods, the body cannot clean itself, and pimples are the inevitable result. Also try to avoid drinking with your meals, because this tends to wash away the health benefits.

In reality, getting rid of zits is not as difficult as most people believe. When you take long term measures to cleanse yourself, you will experience clear skin permanently.

So you may or may not be acne free in 3 days, but it will happen eventually, if you stay patient.  Just make sure you keep up your diet, otherwise the zits will come back. The most important thing to keep in mind is that pimples are an internal issue, and when you take better care of yourself it will go away forever.
