Everyday, people claim to have a new “cure” for acne. Some say to put toothpaste on a zit or to eat only raw fruits and vegetables. These things may help but they will not cure acne. Plus who wants to give up their favorite foods? There is something that will cure acne, though. It is all natural, safe, you don’t need a doctor to prescribe it and you don’t have to deprive yourself to achieve a clear complexion. The answer is sea salt. Yes, sea salt. Dead Sea salt works best but any type of sea salt will work.

Ordinary sea salt contains sulfur plus tons of other minerals. The sulfur in the sea salt helps to synthesis oxygen which helps skin to breathe. Sea salt also exfoliates skin naturally. Potassium helps with water balance for cell metabolism and helps cells to absorb nourishment and get rid of waste. Calcium strengthens cell membranes and cleans pores. Sodium helps cells absorb nourishment and rid themselves of waste. Magnesium rids the skin of dirt and pollutants.

All of the above mentioned are found in all sea salt but their concentrations are 10 times higher in Dead Sea salt. The ions and high concentration of minerals increase cell growth and metabolism.

There are a few different ways to use sea salt to cure your acne. First, there are many products on the market that contain sea salt or Dead Sea salt. There are soaps, cleansers, toners, masks, and other products that can be purchased and used to treat acne.

Another way is to mix up your own facial treatment or bath soak at home and treat your acne with out having to purchase an expensive skin care program. The facial treatment is very simple. You just mix sea salt with just enough water to make it into a sort of paste. Then you can either use it very gently as a scrub or apply it as a mask.

The other way to use sea salt is to add a few cupfuls to warm bath water and soak in it for up to 30 minutes. Make sure to soak you face in the bath water as well. Sea salt is available at many drugstores and also online. It is very inexpensive, so give it a try. However, It can take any where from two weeks to two months to see complete results.
