If you have acne you probably feel like you are bombarded with ads for a cure every minute of everyday. Whether it’s celebrities pitching a product they’ve never used or an ad that just shows people with perfect skin, it’s nearly impossible to know what is a good product for acne on your own.

Acne medicine isn’t cheap, and it can cost a fortune experimenting to find the right one for you. Here is a checklist you can use when trying to find a good acne product.

Is the product doctor approved?

Have others used the product successfully?

Does the product attack bacteria, or just clean the surface of the skin?

Does the product attack acne from the inside out?

Does the product help prevent pores from clogging during the day?

Does the product offer a money back guarantee if it doesn’t work?

If you can answer yes to each of these questions then chances are you’ve found a very good product for acne. Sure, this is a strict list, but if a product doesn’t do all these things it’s probably going to be a waste of money.

Very few products meet these standards, but one I’ve found gets a big YES for each one. The ClearPores Skin Cleansing System is the #1 acne treatment system in our rankings. It is a 3 part system which attacks acne from all angles in order to product results in a very short period of time.

If you suffer from acne, you have probably heard hundreds of ways to get rid of zits. You have probably run into products that claim they are miracle drugs and can clear your acne overnight. There are many myths that have circulated for years about acne. If you are really looking to have clearer skin, there are many different things you can do. These are a few simple steps to take in order for your skin to look the best it has in awhile.

The first, and probably toughest, thing you can do to get rid of zits is to leave them alone. Don’t make them look worse by trying to pop them. This will only make you skin inflamed and irritated. Popping a pimple can spread an infection under your skin, which can cause even more pimples to appear

Another thing you can do to get rid of zits is to keep your face clean. This means any make-up that you wear should be washed off as soon as possible. Make-up on the skin for too long will clog pores.

To keep your skin clean use a mild soap designed for sensitive skin. It is best to use soap specifically for acne-prone skin. Antibacterial soap is known to make your acne worse because it irritates the skin.

It is also a good idea to exfoliate your skin often. Find a gentle scrub that has natural defoliants. You must take caution with defoliants, especially those that you purchase over the counter because they might irritate the acne on your skin. Instead of rubbing the defoliant, pat the skin dry so that your skin isn’t irritated.

Keeping bacteria out of your pores is also something that can help you have clean, clear skin. To reduce the amount of bacteria, try using toners that have anti-bacterial ingredients like alcohol, peroxide, benzalkonium chloride, and others. Toners are also helpful when getting rid of excess cleanser. Toners also tighten pores.

The most important way to get rid of zits is to stick to a routine. The best way to accomplish this is to find a complete acne treatment system and stick with it. Don’t try new things every other week. Try one product and give it time to show results.

ClearPores is a hot selling acne treatment system that is endorsed by both Doctors and Herbalists. Many users have battled acne for years before finding solace in the ClearPores program. Some seeing bad cases of acne get cleared up in a matter of weeks. Customers have rated this system #1 for quick results, and if you are serious getting rid of zits for good this it the product for you.

Popping zits is an activity most people with acne participate in daily. It’s even something that is considered fun by many. Well, no matter how bad the temptation is, don’t do it. Popping zits is bad for your skin, no matter how embarrassing it may be to leave the pimple alone.

A pimple forms when you have too much sebum, a substance that lubricates the skin. Your pore than becomes too full of sebum, dead skin cells, and bacteria, causing a pimple to appear. When you pop this pimple, you may force all the excess stuff back down into your follicle. The whole reason the pimple formed in the first place is because this stuff was too much for the pore to handle, so popping zits just makes the situation worse because now the follicle walls may rupture and the material may leak even further.

If this occurs, the material most likely spills into the dermis, which is the innermost layer of your skin. From here, popping zits may cause nodules or cysts. Nodules are extremely painful. They appear as hard, red lumps under the skin and are caused by the ruptured follicle leaking into the dermis and infecting other follicles. Nodules take much longer to go away than normal pimples do.

If a cyst occurs, it has to be treated by a doctor, and treatment varies based on the seriousness of the cyst. So in addition to causing some wicked scars, popping zits can lead to a whole host of other problems. Make sure you avoid any further damage by keeping your hands off.

Most teens will experience acne at one time or another. In fact, about 8 out of 10 teenagers will get acne outbreaks. The common age that acne begins to occur is at thirteen years of age.

Every year, millions of teenagers will be getting acne and trying to fight it. Acne has been a sore spot for teenagers since the beginning of time.

Acne is a very common condition for teenagers to have. Still, it can be a real struggle trying to get rid of it. In fact, many will only be fighting an ongoing battle and here is why.

The pores in your skin have oil glands. These oil glands make “sebum”, an oil that is a natural lubricant for your skin and hair. When a teenager’s body starts to mature, a hormone imbalance starts taking place. The teen’s hormones begin stimulating the oil glands to produce more sebum, and then the oil glands become overactive.

When these oil glands are overactive, pores will become clogged from dead skin cells and bacteria, which the body naturally tries to eliminate through these glands. When everything becomes trapped like this, then the pores will get red and swell up from being infected. These are pimples.

Some areas of the body are more prone to getting acne outbreaks. The face, back, shoulder, neck and chest areas are the most common areas of the body, for acne to thrive.

The most common variety of pimples that teens get are referred to as “whiteheads” and “blackheads”. The whitehead variety of pimples push out against the infected pore with puss, causing it to look white. The blackhead is a pimple that is pushing the clogged dead skin cells and bacteria inward. This causes the pimples to look smaller and darker at the center of the pimple.

The whitehead variety of acne is by far the most common. They itch and hurt. It is important not to squeeze these pimples, trying to pop them. The urge to do this is strong, yet it is the wrong thing to do.

Squeezing these pimples, can actually cause the pimple to become more infected and also spread the bacteria, infecting other skin pores.

As much as you might feel that you have no control over the acne, you actually have more control over the outbreaks than you might think. Sometimes what your body needs, is the right balance and proper skin care.
Try taking multi-vitamins. Your acne could be caused by not getting the proper nutrients for your skin. Skin is the largest organ of the human body. When the body is not being provided the right nutrients, one of the ways the body reacts to this is by producing more sebum.
If you want to properly cure your acne you should consider investing in an acne treatment system. As we’ve explained in this article acne isn’t just a surface problem. That means that treating it with your everyday acne face wash that you buy at the local store isn’t actually going to solve the problem.

We have reviewed many different acne products and come up with a list of what we believe are the top acne treatment systems available today. These reviews are designed to cut down the amount of time it takes to find the right acne product for your personal needs. Take a few minutes to check out our reviews and then make a decision on which of those products will work best for you.

Once you have your acne treatment system use the soap it comes with, warm water, and a clean cotton wash rag to clean your acne infected area. Clean it gently, without scrubbing hard, as this will only irritate the skin more.

Harsh scrubbing will also stimulate your oil glands to begin over-producing sebum. Clean your area two, to three times a day like this. Always use a fresh clean wash cloth for this ritual.

If your system comes with any other steps (such as a supplement pill or face lotion) make sure to keep up with them as instructed by the manufacturers.

This alone, will help to keep your acne from spreading and also help speed up the healing process. Even after the physical signs of the acne have disappeared, stay with your system. This helps keep the oil glands clean from dead skin and bacteria, waiting to breakout into acne.

Acne affects about 90% of teenagers today. In adolescence, boys are more prone to acne and usually have more severe symptoms. Boys have more testosterone, which results in them also having higher levels of androgens (“male” hormones that both sexes have.) Androgens cause the skin to produce more oils, the oils then clumps dead skin cells together.

These clumps of oily skin cells end up clogging pores and trapping bacteria which results in the formation of acne pimples. Girls also have androgens, just at a lower level, which makes girls less prone to breakouts during their teen years and also causes their symptoms to be less than the symptoms teen boys experience.

Next we are going to let you know what causes a person to get acne in the first place. Before we do, though, let us dispel a few myths:

Acne is a result of being dirty and not showering often enough. Dirt will not cause you to get acne but it can make an existing condition worse.

Sugary foods giving you pimples is another myth that is untrue. It is true that too much sugar is not good for you but sugar will not cause a person who doesn’t have acne to suddenly get it.

Caffeine will make you break out. This, too, is false. The caffeine in soda and chocolate will not give you zits, but may aggravate acne prone skin.

Greasy fried foods make your skin oilier and make you get acne. The oil found on skin is called sebum and is produced by your oil glands and has nothing to do with the oil we ingest.

So if none of the above mentioned cause acne then what does? There are four causes of acne:

Bacteria. Bacteria trapped under the skin can cause inflammation and pimples.

Hormones. As you read earlier testosterone contains androgens that do cause increased oil production and zits.

Heredity. If one or both of your parents suffered with acne in their teen years then chances are pretty good you too will suffer from breakouts.

Clogged pores. If pores get clogged they can’t breathe or get rid of the sebum oil they are producing. This causes a back up to occur. Think about a hose with water running out of it, as long as the hose is unlinked you have no problems. If the hose does get a kink in it then the water backs up with no where to go. This will cause it to bulge and eventually burst. The same is true for your pores and the backed up oil, eventually a zit will form.

Now we know what causes acne and what doesn’t. So how do we prevent or cure teen acne? You need to find a skin care program that works for you. When choosing a product to help you cure your acne, you need to remember that acne isn’t just a surface problem, so using a product that only washes your face probably won’t be enough.

The product we recommend is the ClearPores Skin Cleansing System. It is a doctor endorsed 3 part system that is designed to attack acne from all directions. It is the #1 rated product for fast results for curing teen acne, and the doctor and customer success stories on their pages are there to prove that.
